Network fees
Tokens on VestaScan live on a public blockchain (Ethereum and Polygon). Every action that changes something on it, such as launching a token, sending tokens or approving an investor, has a charge paid to the network that records it. That's the network fee.
Network fees go to the network, not to VestaScan. They're separate from your plan.
When VestaScan covers the fee
When you act from your Vesta wallet, VestaScan covers the network fee for a number of actions each day. How many depends on your plan and the network:
| Plan | Ethereum | Polygon |
|---|---|---|
| Free | — | 3 a day |
| Starter | — | 6 a day |
| Growth | — | 20 a day |
| Verified Growth | — | 50 a day |
| Concierge | — | 500 a day |
Covered actions can include launching a token, managing it (approving investors, setting lock-ups, issuing, burning, recovering, pausing) and sending tokens.
Before you confirm, the app shows whether the fee is covered:
- Sponsored, or Network fee paid by VestaScan in guided mode: you pay nothing.
- Paid by you, or You pay the network fee: the fee comes from your wallet.
When you've used the day's allowance, the fee is paid from your wallet until it resets. Occasionally covering the fee isn't possible for a moment; the app tells you before you confirm, and the fee is then taken from your wallet.
When you pay the fee yourself
If you signed in with a wallet you already use, that wallet pays its own network fees, in the network's own currency. Make sure it holds enough before you launch or send.
The same applies to your Vesta wallet once the day's allowance is used: keep a little of the network's currency in it, or wait for the allowance to reset.
Supported networks
| Network | Public record |
|---|---|
| Ethereum Mainnet | Etherscan |
| Polygon Mainnet | PolygonScan |
You choose the network when you launch a token, and it can't be changed afterwards. Your wallet shows one network at a time; switch networks on the Wallet page to see tokens on another.
